ALY OUERMI, SUPERINTENDENT OF THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT DIVISION (OPERATIONS)

 

Aly Ouermi has served as the Superintendent of MSD's Wastewater Treatment (WWT) Division (Operations) since 2022. Aly joined MSD in 2011 and has worked in various positions including Plant Operator, Plant Supervisor, and Assistant Treatment Superintendent.

 

Aly has a Master of Chemical Engineering and a Master of Biology and a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. In addition, Aly has a Graduate Certificate in Biotechnology and holds an Ohio EPA Class IV Wastewater Operators License, which is the highest class of a wastewater treatment plant operator in the state of Ohio.

 

In this position, Aly manages the operating portion of the WWT Division, which is responsible for operational performance and reliability. Aly works closely with Superintendent Scott Maring (Maintenance) to manage the Division and its approximately 240 personnel.
