SCOTT MARING, SUPERINTENDENT OF THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT DIVISION (MAINTENANCE)

 

Scott Maring has served as Superintendent of MSD's Wastewater Treatment (WWT) Division (Maintenance) since 2022. Scott joined MSD in 2000 and has worked in various positions including Senior Engineer, Supervising Engineer, Assistant Superintendent, and Principal Engineer.

 

Prior to joining MSD, he worked for an engineering consulting firm primarily working in the petrochemical industry. Scott has a Mechanical Engineering degree from The University of Toledo, is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio and possesses a Class III Wastewater Treatment Operator License.

 

In this position, Scott manages the maintenance portion of the WWT Division, which is responsible for overseeing Central Services, SCADA, Heavy Electric, and Engineering groups. Scott works closely with Superintendent Aly Ouermi (Operations) to manage the Division and its approximately 240 personnel.
